Funeral Services
Funeral requests should ideally be initiated by the Funeral Director that the family contacts. The Funeral Director engages the services of the Parish Priest, and together, funeral services are planned for a particular time and day. Although a Priest may know a family very well, the proper protocol does call for an initial liaison between Parish Priest and Funeral Director. After initial contact by the Funeral Director, the Parish Priest will make contact with the family of the deceased to plan the funeral.This meeting usually lasts about an hour, perhaps more depending on the individual circumstances, and if possible, the Priest will visit the family.
